Badcopnews.com – The United Nations (UN) in its report mentions that the production of cocaine and opium drugs globally is very worrying.

Quoted from CNN, Friday (29/06/2018), More than a quarter of a million people in the world use drugs every year.

In a report said that there are 13 million children aged 15-16 years have used marijuana. About 5.6 percent of the global population of adults or about 275 million people have used it.

Yury Fedotov, Executive Director of the UN Office for Drug and Crime divisions, said the findings suggest the drug market is expanding.

“This year’s findings show that the illicit drug market is expanding, with cocaine and opium production reaching record highs, posing challenges in various fields,” Yury said.

He also said that 1,410 tons of cocaine have been in production and mostly from Colombia.

“Cocaine production globally in 2016 reaches the highest level, with an estimated 1,410 tons produced, with most of the world’s cocaine coming from Colombia,” he said.
