– Mariia Butina, charged with being a Russian government agent, is reportedly threatened with 10 years in prison for the case.

As reported earlier, he was charged with conspiring to take action on behalf of the Russian government. The threat of punishment for the indictment is a maximum of 5 years in prison.

The US jury added one more serious indictment against Butina. He was charged with acting as a government agent or a Russian spy. The indictment has a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

He was arrested by authorities in the US on Sunday. He started his first trial on Tuesday in Federal court.

It is known that Butina is one of the students at American University in Washington. He is also known as the founder of the pro-arms group of Russian origin ‘Right to Bear Arms’.
