Time Warner Blocks Southern California Customers From Visiting Bad Cop News After Posts About San Diego California Police Officer Franklin White’s Road Rage Shooting Of Innocent Mother And Her 8 Year Old Son

Update: (04/08 11am) - Road Runner/Time Warner admits they blocked access to Bad Cop News from their southern California subscribers. Access was quickly restored after media inquires. Story developing. Check back for updates.

SAN DIEGO, CA - (04/07 3pm)

Bad Cop News just learned Road Runner/Time Warner is blocking their southern California customers access to Bad Cop News due to our defining as a coverup, San Diego California police officer Franklin White’s crazed road rage shooting of an innocent mother and her 8 year old son.

San Diego area Road Runner/Time Warner customers were unable to access any website on the Bad Cop News server using either the domain name or IP address. Tests indicate that it is impossible to ping the blocked customer’s IP addresses from the Bad Cop News server.

The situation came to light when San Diego based, Family Law Courts (www.familylawcourts.com), (which has its own bad cop section), called to inform us the site was blocked. Earlier, the site’s owner called Road Runner customer service and got a representative on tape saying that he too couldn’t get to Bad Cop News from their network…

This isn’t without precedent. The Southwest censorship marks our second go-around with Road Runner.

Their Andover, Massachusetts network operations center blocked much of New England from accessing the site that later became Bad Cop News. In the mid-west, at the direction of Lorian, Ohio Police Chief Cel Rivera Alltel of Ohio also blocked access to Bad Cop News, thus demonstrating a too-cozy relationship between law enforcment and private corporations. Banned customers in Lorain and Cleveland, Ohio included public libraries, schools, area internet subscribers, businesses, and many cellphone users.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine what other websites Roadrunner and other providers are silently hiding from their customer’s view. We believe this sly form of censorship is something the public should be made aware.
