JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE — A former Jaffrey police lieutenant who spent 16 years on the force has been accused of stealing money that was meant to help local students attend college, feed the needy and assist the families of fallen officers.
[ YES! Its common knowledge that Prince is a worthless lying sack of shit, and now he's finally exposes himself as he crashes and burns... If the truth ever comes out, Prince, disgraced former chief Martin Dunn, and others will have some serious explaining to do, to a federal judge. Two down, one to go... ]
Michael J. Prince, 41, of 18 Libby Court in Jaffrey is charged with one felony count of theft by unauthorized taking. He was arraigned Wednesday at Jaffrey-Peterborough District Court and released from custody after paying $2,000 bail.

LYNDEBOROUGH, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Troubled by the dispute between the police chief and town officials, members of a political action group say they will hold a protest and picket at the town common later this month.
“We focus on constitutional issues, citizens’ rights,” said Jaffrey resident Richard Olson, treasurer of the Citizens Alliance Against Creepy Politics, who is one of the organizers of the protest. The 5-year-old group originated in Jaffrey.
Olson said he and CAACP Chairman Jean “Mike” Coutu called the gathering to draw attention to what they allege are “illegal activities” and “cover-ups” by town officials, a situation they compare to what happened in Jaffrey several years ago when that town fired its police chief.
According to the group, Lyndeborough Police Chief James Basinas has a valid contract the selectmen should honor. The statement also accuses the board, dubbed “The ‘Good Old Boys,’” of repeatedly ignoring rulings by a Hillsborough County Superior Court judge in Manchester to reinstate Basinas.

PETERBOROUGH, NEW HAMPSHIRE - Disgraced former Jaffrey New Hampshire Police Chief Martin “Marty” Dunn (leconsulting@comcast.net from 75.68.124.42) appears to have sent the below textual diarrhea to Bad Cop News.
Some Background
Asshat Martin “Marty” Dunn now claims his career “is tarnished by your website”. Asshat ditched his “outstanding 34 year career” in law enforcement with a whole string of bogus charges against individuals, none of which stood up in court.
Dunn’s Jaffrey police officers arrested a black teen at gunpoint on bullshit loitering charges and preformed a partial body cavity search. The bogus charges were immediately tossed when the case hit the courtroom.
After the NAACP became involved, Dunn filed a bullshit extortion charge against the NAACP’s legal chair. While the NAACP’s legal chair was indicted, there was no conviction - the case imploded minutes before a jury trial and the bogus charges were tossed by a judge HERE HERE and the jerk County Attorney backing Dunn quit HERE.
Dunn fired one of his officers HERE, based on Dunn filing bullshit reckless driving charges against the officer. The bogus charges were tossed by a judge HERE. Dunn had also filed bullshit witness tampering charges against the officer. The officer was found not guilty on the bogus witness tampering charge HERE.
Martin Dunn was suspended at least twice HERE. Other towns didn’t want to hire him HERE. Other cops called him a ’slimebag’. It was bad enough that local residents were holding meetings to figure out how to oust Dunn. There was even a Citizens Against Creepy Politics group targeting Dunn, which advertised in the local media HERE.
A resident emailed Bad Cop News - “Martin Dunn has done more to dishonor Jaffrey in a couple years than the combination of all of our previous residents in the past 233 years.” HERE.
Martin Dunn doesn’t always tell the truth HERE, after which Dunn’s lawyer threatened his victim HERE.
Jaffrey really wanted Dunn to hit the road HERE, and finally fired him HERE and HERE.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – A $100,000 settlement has officially closed the books on an 18-month saga between the town and its former police chief.
Last week, a joint statement from the town and former chief Martin Dunn disclosed that a settlement between the two parties had been reached. The statement praised Dunn for his work as a police chief, including his efforts in acquiring grant money and volunteering for the town.
The statement also said that the relationship between the former chief and the town was terminated effective immediately, and that neither party would comment on the settlement or the events leading up to it.
Dunn, who joined the Jaffrey force in 2002, was suspended in December of 2005, a few months after lodging a complaint with selectmen about Town Manager Jonathan Sistare.
Though Dunn was reinstated as chief in January 2006, he went on medical leave in July of that year, and in October, was terminated.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE ? It wasn?t that long ago that the now disgraced police chief Martin Dunn was making almost daily appearances here on BNC, along with the nutcase Cheshire County Attorney? Since we?ve seen nothing from Jaffrey since his departure, his absence must be a Good Thing?
Found on the web recently:

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE ? A worker’s compensation hearing before a state board to hear a petition filed by Martin Dunn, former Jaffrey chief of police, is being held up on a technicality.
January 27th, 2007
JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE ? Martin Dunn has done more to dishonor Jaffrey in a couple years than the combination of all of our previous residents in the past 233 years. He wasn?t wanted, he knew it, isn?t wanted, he?s not from here, he should have left when his name and ours was still intact and should just give up and realize he?s not coming back!
Now, in 2007, there?s shame associated with Jaffrey, constant wondering about ?what’s he going to do next??, but no effort by officials to put it behind us and to work towards improving our image. I work in Keene, and am always asked questions like ?Is that crazy police chief still down there?? People who have never even been to Jaffrey know all the chief?s dirt, but none of the good about our town. It really is a nice town, a nice place to live, go to school, etc.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE ? Attorneys Charles Bauer (Ransmeier & Spellman, www.law-nh.com. Concord, N.H. charlie@ranspell.com ) and Andru Volinsky (Bernstein Shur, Manchester, N.H.) avolinsky@bernsteinshur.com), representing disgraced Jaffrey Police Chief Martin ?Marty? J. Dunn, have jointly threatened one of fired Jaffrey Police Chief Dunn?s victims, civil rights activist and former attorney Christopher King, with harassment ?even though the communication is for a lawful purpose and constitutionally protected??
BCN obtained the threats of a harassment charge, which appear below, which King originally received from Dunn?s attorney Charles Bauer, then Dunn?s other attorney Andru Volinsky.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE ? Bad Cop News uncovered a previously unknown N.H. newspaper article containing a totally false statement made by (then) Jaffrey, New Hampshire Police Chief Martin Dunn concerning bogus charges Dunn had filed against civil rights activist and former attorney Christopher King. The article concerning that discovery appeared previously here on BCN.
Now we have learned that Christopher King has sent an official demand letter to the disgraced Chief?s attorney, demanding specific retraction efforts of Dunn?s lie against him, as well as monetary damages.
Anyone with knowledge of fired Chief Dunn?s persecution of King will note that it all began with a demand letter on behalf of a kid wronged by the Jaffrey Police Department, so the events have come a full circle centering again on a demand letter?

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE ? Bogus criminal charges dreamed up by (now fired) Jaffrey Police Chief Martin ?Marty? Dunn against civil rights activist (and former attorney) Christopher King were finally dismissed in their entirety in Cheshire County. But now it appears that the court?s decision not acceptable to Dunn, so he dreamed up a criminal conviction that he knows in fact never took place!

The recent uncovering of a previously unknown newspaper article (14 September 2006) indicates that the dismissal wasn?t so in the disgraced Police Chief?s twisted brain, as he was quoted in the Peterborough Transcript saying “[King] was found guilty of practicing law without a license.”

As bad as Martin Dunn wanted to convict Christopher King on the false charges he had filed against King, it just didn?t happen, in any way, shape, or form. Dunn?s statement to the local news media can only be an intentional and total lie on Dunn?s part.

NEW HAMPSHIRE – Citizens in at least two New Hampshire towns are without the services of their police chiefs, who have been placed on leave — with pay — by selectmen. The citizens are not being told what is going on and it is entirely conceivable that they may never be told. This is the rather sad state of New Hampshire citizens’ “right to know” these days.
The Deerfield board of selectmen put that town’s chief on paid administrative leave last week and wouldn’t say word one as to why, other than it was a “personnel issue” and it didn’t have anything to do with a murder committed in Deerfield a year ago. The board wouldn’t even tell the townspeople how long the leave would continue.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Not content unless she’s wasting taxpayer money (check Google for her anti-planned parenthood efforts) and state resources, nut case New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly Ayotte instigated and is pursuing bogus action against civil rights activist Christopher King.

Ayotte already lost round one this week, for not playing by the rules… But since she’s spending your money, not hers, that’s of absolutely no concern to her.
Mr. King’s site notes “…Ayotte just got a smack down from Hillsborough County Superior Court Judge Groff for using hearsay documents (see 22 Sept. ‘06 post, “WTF Your Honor, that’s Hearsay!”) and ignoring the rules of civil procedure in her misguided attempt to nail me for unauthorized practice of law for simply writing a demand letter…”
Bad lawyer Kelly, bad lawyer!

KEENE, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Freeman Klopott of The Keene Sentinel reports, “Cheshire County Superior Court Judge John P. Arnold today allowed to let stand the firing of Jaffrey Police Chief Martin J. Dunn.”
“I am not inclined to grant the request for the termination stay,” said Arnold. “I don’t think it’s a proper request.”
Arnold heard arguments this morning by Dunn, who had requested a stay on his termination, which was effective October 10. He also claimed town officials had unreasonably delayed a right-to-know request he’d made for e-mails and documents.

KEENE, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Freeman Klopott and Melanie Plenda of The Keene Sentinel reports, “Embattled Jaffrey Police Chief Martin J. Dunn has been fired, according to court documents filed in Cheshire County Superior Court, but town officials are keeping mum on just exactly what is going on.”
“When asked about Dunn’s status, selectmen and acting Town Manager Randall Heglin declined comment. ”
“Dunn said he is fighting to keep his job so he can maintain the authority to prosecute any possible criminal acts that he might discover in material released in a right-to-know request.”

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – New Hampshire Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte, has found a big black hole in which to toss New Hampshire taxpayer money, while wasting court time and state resources in a no-win battle.
Kelly Ayotte is prosecuting civil rights activist Christopher King for having committed the crime of, well, ahh, nothing.
Just recently Christopher King administered a well deserved paddling to the collective behinds of disgraced Jaffrey Police Chief Martin “Marty” Dunn and equally disgraced County Attorney William “Bill” Albrecht, in Cheshire County Superior Court. This was probably the final case in a long string of cases that fell apart at the seams for the former Jaffrey police chief.
Bogus ‘extortion’ charges against Christopher King were finally dismissed once County Attorney Albrecht resigned and a competent attorney, William Cleary, took the helm in Cheshire County. But, the crazed New Hampshire Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte, has filed an equally bogus charge against King for practicing law without a license, dating the offense back to the bogus extortion charges.

Until Martin Dunn came to town, Jaffrey’s headlines weren’t about the police department, the chief, or officers unless they did something good for us, helped us. Dunn shows up, bringing with him turmoil and shame for every person here in Jaffrey. All of a sudden Jaffery is in the news, all over the newspapers, everywhere, because Dunn is filing charges against everyone, even though they have done nothing wrong. I’m not going to add to it, but there is more than what meets the eye, more than you or the media has published.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Bogus “Extortion” charges brought against Christopher King by a sorry-ass sack of shit (Former?) Chief of Police, Martin “Marty” Dunn, and equally sorry-ass sack of shit former Cheshire County Attorney William Albrecht, have been dropped in their entirety, finally.
VICTORY!

Christopher King held his head high, and refused to let these two morons, Dunn and Albrecht , assisted by the idiots at the Nashua New Hampshire chapter of the NAACP, roll over the top of him. Martin Dunn abandoned his position as Jaffrey Chief of Police, while William Albrecht abandoned his position as Cheshire County Prosecutor, during this case amid various accusations relating to their inabilities to hold their offices. The first and probably only Official Bad Cop News “FUCK YOU!” goes out to (Former?) Jaffrey Police Chief Martin “Marty” Dunn, Former Cheshire County Attorney William Albrecht, and Nashua NAACP Chapter President Gloria Timmons.

“dismissed all the charges” is not “charges reduced”, as was the title printed in the Nashua Telegraph. How about the Nashua Telegraph doing an article on the other two principals that fell by the wayside in this case? Jaffrey Police Chief Martin Dunn disappears on medical leave after returning from vacation, and Cheshire County Attorney William Albrecht’s abruptly resigns, prior to the dismissal of the case against Christopher King.
JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – A Connecticut man is no longer facing attempted extortion charges for allegedly trying almost two years ago to bilk the Jaffrey Police Department of $65,000 on behalf of a national civil rights organization.
Christopher King, 40, was charged last year with two counts of felony extortion. The charges stem from letters King allegedly sent to Jaffrey Police Chief Martin J. Dunn in December, while a volunteer with the Nashua Chapter of the NAACP. Dunn also alleges King acted as a lawyer, even though he lost his license to practice law in 2002.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Extortion charges against a former Greater Nashua NAACP official were dismissed Thursday, following an ugly year-long court battle.
“Lady justice was served, but it took a long time,” said Christopher King, the man Jaffrey Police Chief Martin Dunn accused of attempting to extort $65,000 from the police department, which had been accused of civil rights violations.
Assistant County Attorney William Cleary verified he had dismissed the charges, which started out as Class A felony charges but were later reduced to two Class B misdemeanors.
Cleary refused to elaborate on the reason behind the decision to dismiss. “I’m not usually like this, but people will tell you this is a case I can’t discuss.”
King, who has since moved to Norwalk, Conn., was the Legal Redress Committee chairman for the NAACP in Nashua when he contacted Willie Toney, who said Jaffrey police drew their guns on him and subjected him to a cavity search in 2003 after he was accused of loitering.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – A former Jaffrey police officer was found innocent Tuesday of a charge that he tried to coerce a friend and fellow Jaffrey police officer not to testify in a criminal trial pending against him last fall.
The jury was out for less than an hour deliberating in the case against Aaron P. DeBoisbriand, 24, of Milford, who was charged with felony witness tampering.
“Obviously I am pleased with the outcome,” DeBoisbriand said after the verdict. “I think I’ll need a few days for it to sink in before I’ll have anything more to say.”
The jury’s decision marks the end of a nearly yearlong series of court battles for DeBoisbriand.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – With Jaffrey’s Bad Police Chief, Martin “Marty” Dunn, on “indefinate” medical leave following what was supposed to be a two week vacation, folks are wondering if Acting Chief of Police Bill Oswalt is charged with cleaning up the nasty piles Martin Dunn has left behind.
Local opinion is that acting Police Chief Bill Oswalt is the right man to fill the open position of Police Chief up there in tiny-town. He worked his way up through the ranks, has local ties, is well respected, is said to be a dedicated worker, and is supposed to be a ‘regular guy.” (OMG – Yeah, two articles mentioning good cops in one week – it probably won’t happen again.)
Dunn leaves behind a nasty mess with respect to his vendetta against former attorney Christopher King, who at the time was working for the Nashua chapter of the NAACP, and who Dunn falsely accused of extortion.

JAFFREY, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Jaffrey Selectmen learned Monday that, effective that day, Chief of Police Martin Dunn has taken leave from his position.

“He is on medical leave,” said Selectman Chair Frank Sterling. “It is indefinite.”
Sterling said the town does not know when Dunn will be back to work. Dunn was on vacation the two weeks prior to the news.
“Bill Oswalt [the lieutenant] is the next ranking officer and he’s always in charge when the Chief is not available,” Sterling noted.
“I am currently acting chief by Chief Dunn’s order, while he is away,” said Lt. Oswalt.
The police force is currently down two men in addition to Dunn’s absence and new hire Officer Joseph Golinski won’t be done with training and the Police Academy until December.
